About the book:

These poems were written in the middle of a separation, a new love, and the slow return to myself.

I had been in a heterosexual relationship for eight years. We had a child, a home, a shared future that looked complete from the outside. And then, quietly at first, everything began to shift. Loving a woman did not arrive as a statement or an idea. It came as a rupture, and then as clarity.

These poems were written in the middle of that unraveling. Some were written to her. Some to him. Some to myself. Some to my daughter. They hold love, motherhood, desire, grief, relief, longing, and the strange calm that comes when you finally stop pretending you know where your life is going.

This is not a book about certainty.

It’s a book about contradiction.

About choosing to feel rather than to perform.

About being a mother and a woman at the same time.

About allowing love to be loud, visible, and unapologetic.

I didn’t write these poems to explain myself. I wrote them to bear witness to a season of life most people keep hidden.

If you are standing at the edge of something unnamed - a desire, a leaving, a becoming - this book isn’t here to tell you what’s true. It’s here to offer you permission to be, exactly as you are, and let yourself feel it all.
